First Field Trip!!
Last week, Joshua went on his first field trip with his preschool class. Having been a teacher for so many years, I had always been on the leading and organizing side of a field trip! How fun it was to be asked, as a mom, to be a chaperone for this trip! We went to the Four States Fair where the kids enjoyed checking out the animals, etc....
Waiting for the bus.
The bus ride was one of the KEY things that Joshua was excited about. He has been asking to ride one since he first started seeing the school buses around town.
Gathering the little 'tourists', Miss Shawna (on the right) is Joshua's teacher.
Milking the cow.
This is Dolly.
Dolly was used to show us how cows are milked.
The milk came out SUPER fast!
Having a yummy little ice cream cone. This is Chloe, she and her family are from Vietnam.
Elsie, the Borden spokescow!
This is her son Beauregard.
Funny little piglets!
The kids got to step into this booth with the play money flying around in it. It was a HUGE hit with all of them.
This is the Ag magician who talked all about agriculture and farming while doing cool magic tricks.
The two pals enjoying the magic show.

The boys went to Aunt Janice's house where she has a great pond and they went fishing again and this time there was huge success! They caught four fish and we will be cooking them up tonight for dinner!! Yummy for the tummy!
Very focused on the task at hand.
Aunt Janice is joining in on the fun.
"Yippee Skippee, I caught one!"

Way OVERDUE Summer Pics
Sorry friends and family, for the long hiatus from blogdom. We are on dial-up and I just have not had the patience to upload at the snail's pace!! BUT, it is much needed because our little man is growing and changing so much!! He has grown a total of 1 1/2 inches this summer and just looks like such a boy, as opposed to a toddler! He is really so much fun. I have tried to put the pics in order of when they happened.

Joshua and Erin at their Preschool orientation. They are both in heaven because they are in the same class and get to see each other every day!!

For Sandra
Here are the sippy cups we love! When you buy them they come in a three pack. They are apple juice and have a name like belly or tummy tickler or something. The label is yellow with a red apple on it and I am pretty sure it says 100% juice. Sorry the pic is fuzzy, I just did it super quick for you! Hope you can find them! Can't wait to chat and yes, we are ever so near to your AR home!! Blessings!

VOTE FOR ME!!!!
So I have entered some photos in the CAPTURE ARKANSAS contest. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette is looking for the best photos of Arkansas to be put in a full-color, hard-bound, coffee-table book. My friend Pat, suggested I submit some of our photos. So I have, and you can go and vote for the ones you like!! Just click on the link to the right that shows a little photo montage, or you can click here:
Here are some of the pics I have entered.
The Road to Rennovation
First, I just had one last photo of our baby birds. This actually was the last day they were in the nest. They were gone the next morning. IT went so fast!! We found their eggs on June 29. The next day they had hatched. This photo was taken on July 12. Crazy how quickly the process of getting out on their own is for baby birds!!! Thankfully we have a little more time with our little one!!!
So we have done a few things to the house that warrant some after photos! We still have a long way to go, but at least we are on that long and winding road, right?
Living room, with the newly upholstered couch! It didn' turn out too badly, if I do say so myself. It is funny how that little thing changed the living room so much! I have since made a roman shade for the living room window.
The hallway with our lovely bare cement floors!
Dining area with the built in shelves. We are going to paint the cabinetry white.
Master bedroom.
We have not painted the bathroom yet. (Yes even the bathroom has paneling!)
